My favorite is Windows XP, though I run Windows 7.

My least favorite is by far Windows Vista.

I run 7 and I must say that it is my favorite!

XP was a security failure for a long time :)

While I personally loved the clean style of XP, I'm mostly happy with Windows 7 as it is right now. It seems to me that Windows 7 is what Vista was supposed to be, and Microsoft should have just released a nice service pack or two for XP to tide us over until they could release a cleaner operating system. It's annoying when open-source projects can churn out more functional and stable software than a multi-billion dollar corporation. Even Windows 7 still has its moments where you realize that the entire trend of reinstalling every so many months to ensure your OS continues to function smoothly isn't over.

Windows 7 for me! Probably the most polished operating system M$ has came up with so far! Can't wait for Windows 8 beta to hit the street ;)

Currently using Windows 7 on my desktop, I'd have to say it's my favorite. Windows XP is a close second, but when it first came out it was pretty bad.

For eveyday use I think I like Vista the best. But for the best ever? Windows 98 and Windows 2000. They're old, I know. But Win95 was such a change from 3.1 it was amazing, but it was chock full of issues that 98 fixed. Then there was 2000, it's like a long lost friend.

Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, I believe that they are pretty good.
I hated Vista because it really felt like an unfinished product.

On another note, Windows 8 seems a pretty good situation so far, for me at least!

History of my Windows: Windows 98 --> WindowsME --> Windows XP --> Windows Vista --> Windows 7 . The best was WinXP and Win7. The worst was WinME.

7. Home networking is easy to set up for my family, and it tends to work pretty well. 8 has me worried though...I think it's going to be a "skip" version of the OS.
